Smart Intersections & Protected Zones

Falcon-I’s smart intersection application leverages computer vision and artificial intelligence technologies to detect violations and monitor vehicles at intersections in real-time. By utilizing CCTV camera feeds and applying advanced AI algorithms, the application offers a range of valuable intersection-related information and functionalities to enhance and ensure smooth flow of traffic.


The application also provides real-time waiting time at signals, allowing operators to monitor the duration that vehicles spend waiting at traffic signals. Additionally, another important feature is the detection of yellow box violations. Falcon-I can identify where vehicles enter or block the yellow box, which is typically marked at intersections to ensure proper traffic flow. The application can generate alerts or notifications when yellow box violations occur, enabling authorities to help maintain smooth traffic operation.


The central platform uses the collected data from camera streams and AI algorithms to generate various alerts and historical reports. These alerts can be customized based on specific parameters defined by the users. These real-time alerts provide immediate notifications about critical events, allowing for timely response.


By providing real-time information, alerts, and historical reporting, the smart intersection system empowers road operators to have visibility into intersection operations, make data-based decisions, and optimize traffic flow and safety. The integration of AI, computer vision, and CCTV camera feeds enhances intersection management capabilities and contributes to more efficient and effective transportation systems.

Real Impact

This application has already been deployed and utilized by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) to help facilitate traffic flow and management operations around major intersections in Doha
